A Growtainer™ CEA grow container (patent pending) is a highly engineered modular and mobile vertical production environment custom built for a wide variety of crops, botanical products and business models. We build Growtainers® in the US and in Rotterdam.
Available anywhere in the world, we design and modify 20’, 40’, 45’ and 53’ insulated shipping containers to provide the optimum controlled vertical environment for growing a wide range of horticultural, floriculture and agricultural products in all environments and climates. In addition to leafy greens in our proprietary Growracks®, one can also grow herbs and other shallow root crops A Growtainer™ container can also produce almost any Botanical Product used in industry: Pharmaceuticals, Nutritional Supplements, Flavors, Fragrances and more.
Our team consists of laser focused industry experts, world class Botanists and Plant Physiologists. we can determine the optimum environment for your product and then we develop your own unique state of the art environment to produce that product. We work with our global network of experts in Engineering, LED Lighting, Irrigation Systems, Control Systems, Climate and Environmental applications and more. Every system we design and build is as unique as the product it’s been developed for. We do not offer a “one size fits all” solution. Even our proprietary Growrack™ system can be built to your specifications.

Growtainer™ CEA grow container are completely customizable, mobile and stackable. They can be installed in your building, on your factory roof or in your parking lot. If you don’t want a container, we can build a dedicated space for you. We’ve built Growtainer™ containers with multiple climate and environmentally controlled production chambers for research or multiple crop production as well as single chamber units. We’ve even built a 53’ Growtainer™ container for a major US Supermarket chain for their In-Store grown production initiative. We can build units for seed germination, rooting cuttings and grafts or spike initiation in Orchids or tissue culture. Soon, we will be offering an affordable entry level Growtainer system specifically built for the inexperienced farmer with ongoing support, available financing, a quick ROI and an easy path to profitability.
